               To My State

        Shakespearean Sonnet

 

I salute Kerala and the people,

Who have met the pandemic with courage,

Selfless, disciplined, always on vigil,

All in the forefront to be an adage.

 

The land of spices has done it again,

I can't praise the Kerala government,

To the measure of its service given,

Always there to contain every ailment.

 

A population with high density,

Of nine hundred per sq. kilometer,

To control them is of sheer brevity;

I salute the pandemic curve breaker.

 

Your nurses are all over the country,

Fighting this virus of the century.
