Asian Koel sings
from the emerald lagoon -
monsoon showers down

kigo = monsoon season (June to September in India)

2.

blue misty mountain
Neelakurinji blossoms
tropical season 

kigo = tropical season - (the Tropic of Cancer passes through the middle of India)

          ~*~

3.

budding flowers bloom
across Valley of Flowers
a bee on my hand

kigo = flowers blooming after the outbreak of monsoon, late July / early September, when the Valley* is full of flowers.

*Valley of Flowers National Park, in West Himalaya, state of Uttarakhand, India, is an UNESCO World Heritage Site  known for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and the variety of flora.

Arabian breeze
brings in heat from the desert
summer dates swaying

kigo = dates = summer

the sound of thunder
makes a tropical dreamland
my yard with mushrooms

horizon all bright
sun rises with burning heat
look of agony
