Summer Haiku

summer shamal moves
sand dunes build up on wayside
mercury shoots up

2.
best of all seasons?
summer in Arabia
terrible out here

3.
terrific heat waves
makes a different summer
sand storms to worsen

4.
lethargic summer
nightmare of peninsula  
smell of frankincense

5.
heat so mind blowing
that's Middle Eastern summer
a blessing or curse?

6.
a curse for many
but a blessing in disguise
blazing summer heat

7.
come May! come Summer!
dates swell, turn brown to sweetness
honey bees merry

8.
blessings of summer
the region so rich in oil
date palms full and ripe

9.
summer ripens dates
makes it Arabian fruit
rich, tasty and sweet

10.
hot and humid day
frankincense swaying in wind
welcomes summer heat

11.
shamal wind blows in
and heats up the Middle East
summer at the bay

12.
the sun is all out
come unwelcome summer months
with the scorching heat
