The Saga of My Life
By Joji Varghese Kuncheria

My dreams are far approaching,
I can feel it within more than ever,
It's the real joy of home coming,
The end of turbulent days are near.

How I scaled all the turbulence,
Is still a great mystery to fathom,
But never ever did I loose solace,
The result is all the joy to come.

It all happened the very day after,
My uncelebrated birthday at fifty one,
A tornado to shake my life thereafter,
A helping hand to come from none.

The colleagues and friends in business,
Whom I brought in as my own kinsmen,
Kept aloof unrelenting and merciless,
No help, no solace, from anyone then.

Existentialism! It's the order of the day,
To turn your back cool on your mentor,
To grab, to cheat and to take away,
The rightful rights of the creator.

A teacher turned businesses man,
Brutally cheated before he could embark,
Even the dreams across the Indian Ocean,
Was eaten by the Maldivian Shark.

Humanity has gone cold to virtues,
Which was the core of anyone's life,
There is no pain, no regret, no remorse,
Everything has become a way of life.

A new dawn is there in the offing,
Something permanent to look for,
The storm of my life is all ending,
Knitting an abundant life together.
